Podiatry is a new branch of paramedicine. Its object is the care and treatment of the feet, but also the treatment of various diseases of the extremities, as well as infections (eg fungal infections) in collaboration with the attending physician.
The podiatrist deals with the diagnosis and treatment of pathological conditions of the fingers, nails and soles, finds damage, changes in the foot, which require treatment. It acts as a link between the patient, a doctor of various specialties such as orthopedics, dermatologist, physiatrist, neurologist, physiotherapist. The podiatrist provides specialized services to his patients.
In recent years, more and more people turn to podiatrists to deal with their foot problems. There are groups of people, such as diabetics and athletes, that require specialized treatment. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect foot. Every person is unique, so their feet and nails differ even from their parents. The nails therefore need specialized care in cutting on a case-by-case basis. There is no stereotypical model of nail cutting. Skeletal problems, acquired, hereditary or by construction, do not differentiate leaf, age. For example, a child with flat feet, scoliosis with mathematical precision will have problems with his limbs in the following years. So everyone needs a podiatrist, either for prevention or for treatment.
